Christian Character 2 of 7

The beginning of anxiety is the end of faith, and the beginning of true faith is the end of anxiety. -George Mueller*

2 Peter 1:1–3 To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and
peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to
life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

Every aspect of our lives as Christians has to be founded in faith but not faith in skills, abilities, stock portfolios, or our fellow man. As
followers of Christ Jesus the faith we have is given to us by the Grace of God the Father. It is impossible to manufacture faith or to “muster up”
faith because it is given to each of us as a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8). Through that faith, the same faith as was given to Peter, John, James, and
Paul we are also granted an ‘all access pass’ to everything we need to live a godly life as opposed to the life we were living before Christ Jesus. Christian Character Begins with faith.

Today’s devotional scriptures:
Through faith we are saved: Eph. 2:8

Through Faith we are justified: Gal. 2:16
Faith is not given equally to all: Rom. 12:3

None-the-less Faith is a command: 1Jo. 3:23
Trials strengthen, test, and prove Faith: 1Pe. 1:6
Without Faith we cannot please God: Heb. 11:6

“I have joyfully dedicated my whole life to the object of exemplifying how much may be accomplished by prayer and faith.” – George Mueller

Father, thank you for the gift of Faith that through it we may find life and life abundantly! We acknowledge right here and now that we had nothing
to do with our salvation as it was through your grace that we were given the faith to believe in your glorious Son Jesus and through that gift were
we saved. Teach up what to do with the measure faith you have given us each and how to glorify you in our families, work, play and church by stepping
out and acting on that faith.

In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.
