Ya’ that pretty well describes me, but that is not the topic at this moment.
I had an emailer ask what my normal (prefered) lifting routine consisted of these days and it is best described as “Straight foreward & simple”.
Shoulder press
Squats super-setted with Pullovers

Prone Triceps press
Standing Calf Raises
Seated Calf Raises

Shoulder Press
Deadlifts super-setted with Pullovers

All exercises are done using a 5×5 scheme with the last two sets as the true working sets. Rest is kept to 60 seconds. It doesn’t have to be fancy to work. The rule is simple “Go Heavy or Go Home”.

An my off days I am currently doing Tabata Protocols using a Schwinn Recumbant Bike.

I also teach my son and one of his friends Tong yi Ch’uan-fa three days a week.

I am getting older and don’t recover as quickly as the kids do so
