You have a job now DO IT!

First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 1 Timothy 2:1

Who do you know that needs the Lord in their life? Who do you know who needs healing? Needs encouragement, strength, direction? We have been given a job to do, we are directed, called, appointed to go boldly into the Holy of Holies, by invitation of the blood of Jesus to lift the deepest needs of those around us to the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe. Why, well quite honestly because that’s what He wants us to do.

We live in a time when we see fellow Christians being beheaded by terrorists, when we see Christians being mocked and ridiculed in the marketplace for holding to the Word of God. Let me assure you that this is no game, we ARE fighting a war that is being manifested in the world we live in and real people are dieing in this battle, but the reason we are called to prayer is because the battle is SPIRITUAL. The enemy is deceiving average people into believing that what they are doing by killing Christians (men, women, and yes watch the news Children) is a good thing that will make the world the place that they want. People are being deceived at a spiritual level into believing that the next hit of meth, cocaine, heroin, vodka or marijuana will make things all better, believe me IT WON’T. Children are being orphaned around us because of the drug epidemic in this country and the ONLY ONE WHO CAN CHANGE IT IS GOD. According to 1 Peter 2:5 we who believe in Jesus are now a being built up into a Spiritual House to be a Holy Priesthood! The job of the priest was to prepare the offerings and sacrifices of the people and then take those sacrifices and offering to be burned on the alter on behalf of the sinner to pay for the sin committed. We are called to do the same, to take the prayers of those around us, the physical and spiritual needs of those around us and offer them before the Lord on behalf of those who cannot. And even greater we are to be praying for their salvation.

We have a job to do. We are a Holy Priesthood.

May the Lord bless you and your house hold.

John
