What wonderful words, “In the Beginning”. What more powerful and perfect way to begin a book, no The Book.
So many truths are poured into the very first verse of the very first chapter of the Book of Books. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
That one verse tells us that there was a beginning, a starting point for time. There was a starting point for matter, God created the heavens and the earth. There was a starting point for space, God created the Heavens. And before that starting point, that beginning there was God.
The Apostle John elaborates on this truth when he writes the first verse of the Gospel of John.
“In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God”.
Before there was time, space or matter there was God the Father and God the Son.
In Genisis 1:2 we are given just a touch more… “the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters” God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit were all present and involved in the creation of time, space and matter…
